The Collective at Sea 2026: Event Update
After much discussion and consideration, The Collective at Sea 2026 will not move forward as planned.
Royal Caribbean recently announced changes to their ships that include converting meeting and conference areas into casino and entertainment spaces. As a result, we would lose access to dedicated rooms for sessions and reliable AV support—both essential for the kind of collaborative, high-quality experience our community expects and deserves.
Our team worked closely with our travel partner to explore every possible workaround, from reconfiguring onboard spaces to investigating other ships and ports. In the end, we concluded that these changes would compromise the level of quality, accessibility, and creativity that define a Collective event.
We know this is disappointing news for those who were already registered or had submitted proposals—and we share that disappointment deeply. Our travel partner will contact all registrants directly to arrange full refunds.
But if there’s one thing The Collective community does best, it’s turning challenges into creativity. So, we’re already back at the drawing board—reimagining what connection and professional development can look like when you strip away the beige conference rooms, the rigid schedules, and the same-old, same-old. The setting may change, but the spirit stays the same: bold, curious, and joyfully offbeat.
