Virtual or In-Person Workshops & Events
We offer custom virtual and in-person workshops at well below the industry rates. Our aim is always fun, affordable, and useful professional development! Contact us to develop a customized series. You can see some of our past events below.
In 2018, The Library Collective partnered with LeadLocal, to offer a series of Digital Drop-Ins (read: webinars that don’t suck!) and in-person training focused on design-thinking for library leadership, kind of like a mini-Collective with fun social networking and a whole lot of hands-on learning!
We focused this series on a skill we think is sorely lacking in many libraries: leadership!
Design Thinking for Library Leadership is a hands-on, practical workshop all about learning by doing. Participants identify adaptive leadership challenge (that they or other libraries face), form a team, and tackle the challenge by establishing a framework for leading change by design. Hands-on, team learning offers the opportunity to adapt design thinking tools and collaborate with colleagues.
This workshop took place September 13-14, 2018 atThe Space at Grant Park - Atlanta, GA. Check out the video below to see all the smiles during this awesome training! If you’d like to schedule a similar event for your institution, please reach out to email@example.com.
What are Digital Drop-ins?
Digital Drop-Ins are our creative reimagining of the webinar format. For this series, we started with a brief insight interview with our Conversation Catalyst around their work in innovative library leadership. Then the guest offered a lean, mean, hands-on demo of one of the Conversation Catalyst’s favorite innovation or leadership tools. Each session wrapped up with a Q&A session to answer questions.
We think of these as "un-webinars"--highly interactive and no boring allowed! Need help with unwebinars for your institution? We consult!
Below are the agenda handouts for our Digital Drop-In Series for 2018. Contact us to design a series for your library!
